I used to use Estee Lauder Cinnabar and when i could no longer get it i found Opium. Since the release of Black Opium, i have been finding it more difficult getting my Hands on the Large Red Original. When trying to buy it i was told that it was being phased out 😳. So, i had no alternative but to buy in Bulk. If this does get removed i will try the other Yves Saint Laurent, but i will be trying to get Samples before I Purchase.

I have worn this perfume for years now it has the most beautiful smell and wonderful memories come to mind when I’m wearing it. Although people may not feel it’s a current perfume think again it is soooo beautiful it draws people to you. I know this sounds silly but strangers would stop to chat and as the perfume carried in the air they loved its aroma and always left smiling and happy because someone cared to talk if only for a moment. My grandsons used to go with grandad to buy my Christmas gift and have the lady wrap it up and when they came home put it under the tree. It was always Classic Opium as they knew I loved it. If I had just one Christmas wish it would be that more people find this perfume and it’s magical essence gives them the love and memories it has given me.

This original YSL opium was my mother's favourite perfume and when ever I smell it it reminds me of her and sadly lost her earllier this year but have decided to buy a small bottle of this to remind me of her presence even though she has gone I would recommend this perfume to anyone who likes a spicy and strong long lasting fragrance. Although it depends on your skin type as to how it smells on you It suited my mother absolutely and will never forget the sent.
