The fragrance is born from the creative encounter between perfumer Sophie Labbé and Alexis Rosenfeld, founder of the underwater exploration project 1Ocean.

Inspired by the shimmering nuances of the ocean and the mysterious and deep textures of water, L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme emblematic aquatic notes are intensified by spicy Sichuan Pepper and powerful Fir Balsam and Cedarwood. Electric, spicy notes of Sichuan pepper intensify the fragrance's aquatic character. Fir Balsam is an evergreen tree belonging to the coniferous family. Its resinous, woody notes add warmth and power to the scent. Majestic Cedarwood, both rough and comforting, brings contrast to the fragrance.
