As we continue to age, our skin starts to lose some of its elasticity. Collagen and cells in the skin break down much more rapidly than the new ones being formed and dead skin cells have a tendency to stay on the surface of the skin. Clumps of dead skin can pile up on your face and lead to rough and uneven skin or even blotchiness and acne. The Menopause increases this problem as a woman's collagen levels start to really drop. However, using anti aging creams does restore elasticity and does help to boost the natural collagen production.

Elizabeth Arden's First defense is a great anti aging lotion which delays the signs of aging by delivering an intense moisture protection and smoothing out minor wrinkles.

Clarins Extra Firming Night Cream is great for firming up and replenishing the moisture in older skins.

Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Refiner is great for the daily removal of dead skin cells revealing and healthy more youthful skin underneath.

For skin tonics try Vichy's Refreshing Hydrating Toner it is one of the best toners on the market and is very gentle and kind to skin whilst removing dead skin debris and closing the skin's pores.
