It is so hard to make sure you pack all your beauty products when you're heading off on a trip, you're almost guaranteed to forget at least one thing. There's a chance you can pick up the basics while you're away, but you can be sure you won't find your favourite moisturiser or eye cream in the local shop. So, we've put together a handy checklist to make sure you pack all the essentials! For the plane

So first up there are a few beauty essentials you need for on the plane. You need these in your hand luggage so make sure you pick up the less than 100ml options.

This may not be everyone's favourite tip but try not to wear any makeup for your flights. You will need to reapply products throughout the duration and they just won't do the job if you're slapping them on over layers of foundation.

The air systems on flights literally suck all the moisture out of your skin so a good moisturiser is absolutely essential. Look for a product that is thick and nourishing as you need something that will take longer to absorb and keep your skin hydrated throughout the flight. We love the Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Moisturising Cream.

A lavender pillow spray is a bit of a luxury but if you're flying long haul it can really help you relax and get some sleep. Try the Anatomicals Lavender Pillow Spray, it smells divine!

When you're coming to the end of your flight you're probably feeling a little bit worse for wear. To keep the liquids to a minimum, pick up a pack of Johnsons and Johnsons Facial Wipes to give you a quick refresh before you land. And don't forget a handy roll on deodorant too, the Sure Women Max Protection Stress Control is super affordable.

The Hotel

So now you've reached your destination and can fully relax!

Hotels will often provide shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc. but I always fine it best to take your own. You don't know the quality or brands they stock, and they don't usually cater for specific hair types, skin types etc.

So don't forget shampoo, conditioner and shower gel.

Now this is a biggie' sun cream! There is nothing more important than keeping your skin protected in the sun. You should be wearing an SPF daily anyway but being exposed to the sun more abroad you need to make sure you're regularly applying. We have a great Piz Buin bundle on offer at the moment which gives you two 1 Day Long Sun Lotions, an SPF 15 and SPF 30 and an After Sun all for £16.99!

Body lotion, moisturisers, after sun' After a day in the sun, sea or swimming pool your skin is definitely going to need a bit of recovery. Make sure you pack lots of body lotion to rehydrate and smooth your skin and slap it on every evening after you've showered. This also helps prolong your tan and stop any peeling! The Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe is perfect to calm the skin after a day in the sun.

It's also still really important to keep up with your daily skincare regime while you're on holiday. Lots of us prefer to go au naturale in the day while we're away which is a great break for your skin, but this doesn't mean you stop cleansing, toning and moisturising. So make sure you pack all your regular products!

Hotels will usually provide you with a hair dryer (make sure you check before leaving yours at home!) but they very rarely offer straighteners, curling wands or any heat brushes so make sure they get a place in your suitcase! Add in a salt spray to your toiletries bag to give you those gorgeous beachy waves day and night, we love the Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray.

Ok so the Gillette Venus Snap Razor might just be my favourite travel item. It's super small and very portable, I mean that extra space makes all the difference when you're packing! It's perfect for keeping you super smooth in a snap.

Let us know where you're jetting off to this summer, we're already super jealous!
