Ted Baker

Ted Baker started in 1988 in Glasgow and this shop was quickly followed by stores in Manchester, Plymouth and Nottingham. Relying on word of mouth advertising rather than traditional mediums due to limited funding, they first offered free dry cleaning with every shirt (they no longer do this!). In 1995 Ted Baker Woman was introduced and has since become a global brand featuring in the 21st James Bond film Casino Royale. A specially designed Ted Baker store was erected, fully merchandised, and dismantled on the film's set in Prague. Ted Baker fragrances range was launched in 1999 with 'Woman', in 2002 'M' and 'W' were launched followed by 'Secondskin', 'Secondscent', 'XO', 'X2O' and 'SkinWear'.
