I use this product sparingly, when I recieved the foundation I felt that the product looked too dark for the colour I selected, however, it covered my redness excellently and am happy with the product, It wasnt too dark when I put it on my skin.

You dont need to use a lot of it and it is a little heavy. I would recommend for evenings, its not really an everyday usage foundation.

I also use a little powder over the top.

I purchased this foundation for a try as it has some great reviews and it looks really good. When it arrived I was sad to see that the colour I ordered was slightly to pale for my skin tone and it is very difficult to judge which colour you would need by looking at the colour options online.

I agree with a previous customer review that the product does "sit" on your skin and can be a touch greasy in that when you touch your face it leaves a greasy residue on your fingers. It has a nice smell but it is very strong and it took me a while to get used to it. I now use this product as a concealer as I wouldn't love to have it all over my face and I feel it gives a very unnatural look especially if you are using the product in the day.

On the positive side it is very long lasting, a little goes a very loooong way and it is great value for money. If you have skin problems and you want a foundation that can sit on your skin and mask these problems then I would highly recommend you to buy this product.

This foundation has surpassed all of my expectations. Cheap price yet very high-quality product! It gives great coverage and will save you time and money as it also doubles as a moisturizer. A small amount goes a very long way! I use this product almost everyday and I still haven't finished the whole pot. I've ordered this more than 10 months ago and I still have a good amount of product left in my pot. My only complaint is the scent can be a bit strong or overpowering but it's not so bad as it fades away after a while. Anyway, I'm glad I've tried this product and I will definitely order again! :)

I was so pleased to see this foundation after many years of not being able to get it. I used to use it years ago and thought it had been discontinued. I think its fantastic foundation, some people have mentioned that its very greasy I don t find this, it goes onto the skin like a dream and blends in with skin tone so easily and gives a lovely dewy look you can use a transulucent powder on top if you like, the coverage is excellent for spots or blemishes.also I found the colour very true to the picture I could nt recommend this enough. will definately be purchasing more, I m so glad I ve discovered my leichner again Thankyou

This foundation is okay - the coverage is good. Its VERY moisturising, so anyone with greasy skin needs to stay away! I have combination skin and I've found that I need more moisture in the Winter, so I'm saving this product till then! Theres no way I can deal with it during the Summer as it'll feel way to heavy.

This is the only make up I use. GREAT! It's perfect to put over fair foundation to give a lush glow, all you need is a tiny amount on your brush to blend in for each area to do your T-zone and cheeks. It will last for ages with the amount you get! It works great for photoshoots too, as i'm an amature photographer/make-up artist. the only con is the shades are so dark, i whent for almond and only use a tiny bit as i'm fair, though it's so worth the money i will buy again and perhaps try another shade! First off I would say that this is more suitable for dry skin as I think it would slide off any other type of skin unless you piled on the powder. My skin is very dry and I usually use Nivea cream under my foundations to keep my skin happy. I was pleased to see that there is Lanolin in the Leichner foundation ( which might not be suitable for everyone..) as my skin really responds well to it and I no longer need to use a separate heavy moisturiser when I use this foundation. The smell reminds me of the Astral cream, which is plesant enough. The texure is similar to Astral or Nivea cream and a little goes along way. I use such a tiny amount for my whole face, which means that this pot is going to last me a long time! It glides onto my skin nicely and makes my dry skin feel comfortable, again probably because of the lanolin. I would definatley recommend using a sponge to apply this foundation for a smooth, dewy result. Finger application tends to leave a heavy caked look behind.
Im roughly NC35 in MAC and first I bought 'Blend of Beige' in the Leichner foundation after seeing the online colour charts. These foundations look very dark in the pot but they really lighten up once they are on your skin. I could get away with the beige shade if I worked it but it was just a little too light and pink for my skin tone, so I took a gamble and bought 'Blend of Caramel'. This suits me much better. Its not dark or orange, like it looks on the colour charts. It looked the same as the beige shade when I opened the pot, but once on my skin it was a much better colour match, so if you are NC35 I would also recommend this shade. I do use a little powder on my T-Zone when using this product just to keep any potential extra shine at bay.
The only small negative is that it would be nicer to have it in a squeezey tube instead of the tub, but for the price I cant really complain.
I will definatley buy this product again, if it ever runs out.

I thought this product was a good price. It has good coverage. You can use to cover eczema on arms for example in the summer when weaing short sleeved tops. I bought this product in porcelain, although someone said that I'd got a tan(whilst I was wearing it)... also this product makes ones face very radiant but that also means shiny, I do like the effect but I would prefer a bit less shine, although by applying a powder over it calms the shine down a bit. Ideal for younger skin.

I applied this before going to school and was surprised by how little I have to use. I know this foundation will last be a very long time and with it being so cheap that's good.

A friend reccomended the foundation to me and I would fully reccomend it to anyone who changes how much foundation they wear from day to day, When going out it is necessary to wear with powder especially if you plan on dancing the night away to avoid getting shiny!

I also reccomend making sure you fully moisturise before using as it can cling to dry skin.

As its still February Im not sure how comfortable it is to use in the summer when things heat up a bit as I prefer to let my skin breathe but its texture makes it good for covering up just the 'problem areas' if a natural look is what youre after.

The colour in the pot looks fine, but when you put it on it is lighter so I would recommend going for a shade or 2 darker than your normal choice. This isn't water based so layering the product bit by bit rather than slapping it on is recommended. The coverage is excellent, I didn't have to use concealer and my skin looked really good ( I finally had a porcelain complexion which knocked years off me!) It is tinted moisturizer rather than a foundation so it is ideal people with dry skin.

I tried this on impulse and I'm so glad I did. This is what I've been looking for for years. As a more mature lady with imperfect skin tone I wanted something with good coverage but that didn't look 'caked' on. This does the job perfectly. It's creamy when applied but settles into the skin leaving it moisturised and with a 'dewy' finish. The colours are subtle and blend with your own skin tone. Lasts all day too. Just wonderful!

its a great coverage foundation, and if you have dry skin this is perfect, unfortunately i have normal/combination skin, and its tooo greasy for me, so the best thing to do is apply lots of powder beforehand then apply little bit of the foundation on top, then set with some translucent powder.

I found this product really quite greasy and looking at the ingredients realised the first on the list was petrolatum then paraffinum then further down lanolin cera, so that's obviously why. Having said that it it will be a really nice product for keeping my face moisturised in cold weather and gives a lovely glowing finish. I found that a covering of powder solved the problem and "set" it well. I would buy this again but keep it for winter use. The smell is lovely and it glides on easily.

I have read some feedback and one person said its not suitable for mature women - well I am 67 yrs old and I absolutely love this product! Firstly do not use any moisturiser! How I apply this is to get just a little on my forefinger and with both hands spread it over the fingers and then spread it over the cheeks, mouth, nose, lower eye area and under the chin and neck. Repeat this process only this time cover the forehead,temples and upper eye area. Massage the cream into the skin making sure that it blends evenly all over the face. If too greasy just dab face gently with make up sponges. You can always add more of the product to get a more made up look. A couple of minutes after applying make up, the look is great!

A great foundation, long-lasing wear, but not to be applied in a hurry.
Needs a bit of work applying it-I've found best with a brush to even it out, but it's well worth the effort.
Gives good coverage without looking cakey, just use sparingly. Also, it's a bit thick and oliu in texture, so you would need to use a setting powder. Once on it feels great on the skin. Would be interested to know if there is a paler/pinkier in tone colour available??

When I first received this item I was surprised at how small the pot is. HOWEVER, it is 30ml like most foundations AND it lasts forever! I only use a tiny tiny bit and I get a really full coverage every time. It's possibly the best foundation I have used. HOWEVER, I do have to set this foundation using a translusent powder. I do this because the foundation is VERY oily/greasy/shiny. I also use this foundation using a foundation brush to get a completely FLAWLESS finish. :)

I apply this with a brush and while it initially comes out a little dark (peach), a dab here and there with a tissue is al it needs. I leave it to settle and apply mascara, then concealer. I like it.

My skin is fair so I chose blend of porcelain and the color is perfect. Good coverage with this foundation but for someone with oily skin, I wouldn't recommend this product.

I use a blend of porcelin Lechner it is so good to apply, i have constant compliments on how my skin looks and i always recomend people to buy this. i find that i can blend my foundation very easily, and blends in great with day or evening wear.i have no negative things to say about Lechner it is the best.

This is fantastic. I remember my Nana always used this and the smell brings back memories! It is very moisturising maybe not great if you have oily skin. Best to set with loose powder as it can rest in creases under eyes and in sockets if you don't. I have struggled for years having dry skin as all foundations roll off my skin or flake and look awful on my nose and cheeks. This solves all my problems and will save my winter skin I'm sure. I bought porcelain for now and walnut to take abroad, I am very pale skinned. Blends lovely makes skin look flawless..can't rate it enough.

I used to use this in the 60's when I was a proffessional dancer and have only recently re-discovered it to cover up age blemishes etc. It used to be a thicker, higher coverage foundation in the 60's but it is still a very good product and does what it says on the tin.

This foundation provides excellent coverage. It gave me a really healthy, even colour. The foundation is quite thick so you don't need very much so the pot will last you a long time. My only complaint is that on opening the pot I thought the foundation smelt a little off, not sure if this is how the foundation is meant to smell but once I applied it I couldn't smell it, I just hope nobody else could!

it gives very nice coverage, makes your skin soft and dewy. Very moisturizing. Blends easily. However leaves a semi-wet finish.
The only thing I didn't like is its smell. I'm not fond of having my face smell like cheap perfume.

this is an amazing product as its light on the skin and brilliant for light coverage especially during the summer, it gives a nice, fashionable sheen to the face. however, i have found too much can make it seem greasy around the nose but a little translucent face powder particularly round the nose and forehead heal that problem. highly moisturising leaving skin soft all day

Product was a great price as a little goes a long way so it does last. I found it a little greasy but when my skin feels particually dry it's perfect.
It does make my skin look dewy and has a nice glow.

The make up applies really well and may feel a little greasy to start with but once you have applied your finishing powder its great,i bought 7 shades to see what suited my skin tone as they look darker in the tubs but when applied they are much lighter!! I have gone with blend of tan,my daughter has pinched blend of walnut and my hair dresser has taken the blend of beige,great product if you have dry skin.

This product is great for everyday use, there is such a large amount of it and it looks flawless. The best aewy to use this product is with a makeup sponge or brush. Using fingers can leave it streaky. It stays on for the whole day and i dont regret buying this product one bit!

My mother has used Leichner since she was 16 years old and she is now 84 years old and has never used any other product. Her skin is soft with hardly any age lines which she says is because she has always used Leichner. The only problem is finding a chemist which now sells it but hopefully we can still buy online.

I use the product for everyday use. I apply a thick layer and then apply a pressed powder on top, in order to not appear oily/shiny!

Leichner is thick and is a great price, I don't think I will be going back to any runny, thin and expensive stuff again! I love how professional's use it too and how it is an affordable price!

However, I prefer the pressed powder version of Leichner foundation as this foundation leaves my skin looking shiny, which is why I have to apply a pressed powder on top!

Highly reccommended!!

If i'm honest i didn't get on brilliantly with this product because i found it too greasy. But it was unbeleiveably moisturising so anyone with dry skin - this is your product. Also, because it is so greasy, it needs a powder to set it and prevent it from making you look shiny. However, overall it smells lovely, goes a VERY long way and does a good job with coverage, i like it :)

Its a very rich cream with a little tint to it...its almost like a tinted moisturiser with a nice smell(fragrance)to it.Great with very dry skin.It gives a bit of a glow, but its not great for covering any redness or uneven complexion.

Overall it's a great foundation! Really depends upon your skin type. I highly recommend it for those with either a dyer / combination skin type sometimes you may find it alittle to oily. Best to start off with little application and build from there! Best to apply with sponge- dabbing process- finish by buffing with a stiple brush- mac 180! I normal use a pea size blended with moisturizer for a more natural and lighter complex !!

After many years of trying various foundations I think this could be the wonder product of all make up bags, it really is as simple as that.

The price is brilliant, the foundation smell is lovely like almond smell, and you only need a bit to cover your entire face, the product is quite thick which gives you a good even coverage on the face, it covers blemishes, pores and dark circles well, as it is a moisturising cream it really makes your skin smooth and soft and after application your face really does look flawless, the product comes in a variety of colours.

I have spent alot of money on foundations including premium brands and this little pot is definately a pot of gold for any make up bag.

Even after I moisturised the foundation picked out the rough patches in my skin so it looked dry, also I had a few blotches on my skin and the redness shone through. Other than that it gave me a nicer looking tan - barr the dryness. I wouldn't recommend using all over your face, but I now use my maybelline dream satin liquid colour; nude, and then I put this foundation on my cheeks for a more natural look.

I have olive toned skin and wasn't sure which colour to opt for, i went with beige and a hint of gold. the hint of gold is perfect for every day use, smooths on easy, looks flawless, skin looks radiant, covers up pretty much dark circles, and although i have an oily skin, i found this product worked better than some way more expensive foundations i had used, as long as you powder ontop. The beige colour will be good for summer when my skin has more colour in. i would recommend this product to anyone to try. since using my skin has not broken out in pimples(which it used to with other foundations) nor does my skin dry out with this foundation. at this price it is worth a try!

I had never thought to use this brand as was one my mum used and had image was mummsy product. However, seen it on here at such a cheap price and thought I would give it a go. So glad I did. Is honestly better than everything else and I have tried them all!!

I ordered porcelain for everyday and walnut whip for when I have tinted fake tan on face. Both perfect.Only need tiny, tiny amount. It blends into skin wonderfully giving excellent coverage but looks totally natural and gives gorgeous glow. Plus it lasts all day. Do need to use powder to set but i would normally do that with any foundation.

Initially thought walnut whip looked totally orange in tub but blends into skin and gives a totally natual glow. Porcelain perfect for everyday. Also gives lovely natural coverage. Honestly looks like natural glowing skin. Only downside would be probably not suitable for very greasy skin. Otherwise perfect!!

Buy it. You will not be disappointed.

I bought 3 different foundations from this website and out of all 3, i find this one the most greasy. However, once i applied powder, it was fine, it covered up all my blemishes and redness. This is a smooth, creamy product that applies well. There are shades to suit most skin types and the foundation also doubles up as a rich face mosturising cream. I found that I didnt get bad skin like some foundations, it left my skin feeling smooth and even, the coverage was nice and It did't feel heavy or caked on the skin.The coverage lasts a good few hours but will need a second top up by the evening if applied mid morning, However, I think this is more than reasonable.The price I think is great considering most highstreet foundations cost £6.00+ and dont last aslong as Leichner.Because the foundation is also a creamy mosuriser also, a little goes along way and lasts a good few months.. considering the pot isn't that big - i think this is great value product for the money spent.I've already recommended this to a few friend who love it too.10/10 for a low costing foundation.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I clicked on the make up section of your website and found this foundation. I always used to use this when I was a teenager, it was my make up, for years I thought they had stopped making it?! I am so happy to find this again. Well, I started using this particular brand about 5 years ago, because I couldn't get my normal Dior colour. Although I still use the Dior one occasionally, I use the Leichner ALL THE TIME...as I prefer it! It provides excellent coverage, easy to blend, great colours and also acts as a moisuriser. So I guess I'm well and truly hooked now. Great product and totally recommend to all.
