MAC

Make up Art Cosmetics, or MAC as they are more popularly known, was founded in Toronto, Canada in 1984 by Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo. The original MAC range of cosmetics products were initially designed specifically for professional make up artists, but of course, are now available to consumers all over the world. Having built up a solid reputation in Canada, MAC then decided to branch out internationally. The first American boutique was opened in Greenwich Village, New York City in 1991, and since coming under the control of cosmetics giant Estee Lauder in 1994, the company has gone from strength to strength, now being commonly recognised as one of the most popular make up brands throughout the world.
