Kylie Minogue

Born in Melbourne, Australia in 1968, Kylie Minogue began her career as a child actor, along with her sister Dannii. At the age of 18 she won a role on the hit Australian soap Neighbours as garage mechanic Charlene. She achieved British fame as the soap became popular in the UK; Charlene’s marriage to Scott Robinson (played by Jason Donovan) attracted a UK audience of over 20 million viewers. She soon left the soap to launch a music career, under the guidance of legendary pop producers Stock, Aitken and Waterman. Today, Kylie is one of the most famous and influential female solo artists in world music, having recently released her 11th album.
