Sarah Jessica Parker was born in Ohio in 1965, but her family moved closer to New York City when she was a young girl so she could pursue further training in ballet and acting. She carved out an acting career from a young age, appearing in Broadway musicals and landing minor TV and film roles before being cast in her big break, the role of savvy New York columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the hit TV series Sex and the City. The wardrobe Parker got to wear as Carrie gained her a global reputation as a fashion icon. Parker has used this success to launch her own range of fragrances, with her debut scent Lovely being launched in 2005. The Sarah Jessica Parker brand also incorporates a range of shower gels and body lotions.
