With summer on the way and (hopefully) warmer weather, over at Fragrance Direct we're craving that Instagram worthy Fishtail Braid and it's a trend that isn't going away especially with all the festivals coming up! It's the perfect way to pull back your hair and keep it classy and elegant at the same time! They might look complicated but once you've mastered the basics you'll be able to create one in no time. We've broken it down into easy steps for you to follow and achieve the look! Step 1: Pull hair back as if you were going to do a half up half down. Step 2: Split the hair and gather into 2 sections. Step 3: Separate a chunk of hair from section 2 and cross it over the top to section 1 and join together.

Step 5: Now the tricky part; holding section 1 and 2 in your left hand (keeping them separate), pull a small chuck of loose hair from the right side of your head. Cross this new piece over the top and join with section 1. Step 6: Repeat step 5, holding both pieces in your right hand and picking a chunk of hair up from the left side. After crossing hair over you need to end up with 2 sections like originally, pull this two apart to tighten. Don't worry about the braid being too tight as you can loosen at the end.

Step 7: Keep repeating steps 5 and 6, tightening as you go until you have no loose hair hanging down.

Step 8: Now like at the beginning of the tutorial you are going to pull a chunk from the back/underside of section 2 and cross over the top to section 1. Step 9: Repeat step 8 on the other side and continue crossing over, alternating sides. Step 10: Make sure to keep tightening throughout.

Step 11: Keep fishtailing down to the bottom and secure with a hair tie. Step 12: You can now loosen any bits you want by using your fingers to tease apart the braid, secure any areas with bobby pins that need holding in place.
