Black and White was winner of Best Highstreet Wax by Hair Magazine Awards 2009. Originally, the company only manufactured Pomade, which was melted to boiling point then applied with an iron to straighten Afro-Carribean hair but in the 1950s, the pomade was brought to Europe and grew very popular in the 60s in Londons Carnaby Street. Punk and Glam Rock hairstyles in the 70s were supported by Black and White pomade. Once voted into Top 40 Products of all time by The Times newspaper. After 110 years, Black and White developed a new lite formula winning yet more awards. Now their range includes Original and lite Wax, putty, shaper, paste and cleansing shampoo.
