n 1957 the RoC® Company was founded by pharmacist Jean-Charles Lissarrague, who developed the first non-perfumed formula for dermatologists who wanted to recommend safe and non-irritating products. The products were also used throughout theatres in Paris, by actors and actresses who couldn’t tolerate the heavy creams and harsh stage make-up and required something that would better suit their skin. In the 70's, hypoallergenic make up was introduced and in the 80's RoC were the first company to use Liposomes and Peptides which was a significant skincare breakthrough. The ‘lifting’ range was strengthened as a key new ingredient was patented - THPE (Tetrahydroxypropyl Ethylenediamine) – a high-performing agent that combats sagging skin by re-tightening and firming.
