Born in Italy in 1930, Nino Cerruti became head of the family textiles business after his fathers untimely death in the 50s. Using his experience of producing top quality fabrics, Nino decided to branch out into the clothing market. Nino Cerruti also produces a range of mens and womens fragrances, many of which encorporate the number 1881 into the title; the year in which Ninos grandfather established the family textile mill in Italy.
