Having emigrated to England from Pakistan as a child, Shami Ahmed built a successful wholesale business with his father in Manchester in 1980. Shami later launched the Legendary Joe Bloggs Clothing Company, which became an integral part of the Manchester youth scene in the 80s. Bloggs was the first British company to break into the UK’s top ten biggest-selling jeans brands, and the company made Shami a millionaire before his 24th birthday. Bloggs later released a range of fragrances for the teen male market, with the fragrances named after the brand’s different subsidiaries; Rebel, Vintage, Athletic and Rock Star.
