A graduate of the High Fashion school in Paris, Jean-Charles Brosseau launched his own label and fashion house in the city in 1955. In the late 70s, he accidentally came across a base fragrance formula consisting of musky notes, vanilla and rosewood. Brosseau named the new scent Ombre Rose, and it is now considered to be one of the classic High Perfumery fragrances alongside legendary scents like Chanel No. 5. Today the Jean Charles Brosseau brand is sold in over 30 countries worldwide, and includes a host of additional fragrances, such as Atlas Cedar, Fleurs D’Ombre and Fruit de Bois.
