Hard Candy is an American cosmetics company founded in 1995 by 2 sisters. The first product to be launched was a baby blue nail polish named "Sky". Actress Alicia Silverstone, when on "The Letterman Show" was asked about her toe nail polish and replied "It's Sky by Hard Candy" which resulted in an overnight sensation. LVMH acquired Hard Candy in 1999 for a reported $30million.
