French Connection started in 1972 in the UK and started branding their clothes as "fcuk" in 1997. This gave the company a new lease of life and branded 'fcuk' t-shirts started flying off the shelves due to their similarity to a well known swear word. In the US especially the fcuk brand sparked massive controversy. 'fcuk' expanded it's range to fragrances and other toiletry products.
