Florence Nightingale Graham launched her cosmetics brand in New York in 1912, under her business name Elizabeth Arden. She introduced make-up to the average woman at a time when it was only known to be worn by stage performers. Famous fans included Marilyn Monroe and Queen Elizabeth II; both were attracted by Arden's signature fragrance, Red Door. Today the perfume range includes Beauty, Provocative Woman eau de toilette, Sunflowers, Splendor, Pretty, Fifth Avenue and Blue Grass.
